(7-11-02) I just wanted to share a picture of my bike. I really enjoy my bike that I have owned since 1992 when I purchased it from a person who had not driven it for over three years. When I purchased the bike it had 1,500 miles and now has over 17,000!! It has never failed me and I have taken it to several bike shows in New Mexico & Colorado and is one heck of a bike.
However every time I go to these shows I never see other Madura's and by sending this I hope to see and hear from a few happy owners about their thoughts and feelings about the bikes. One day I hope to get my hands on a V1200. Attached are some pictures of my bike.

(7-17-02) Suzuki Murada GV1200. Owned it since Spring 1998. It was registered in Sweden 1993 and I´m only the second owner here. I think it was imported from the States... It is in pretty good original shape [and has gold rims, one of the very few with gold rims I have seen - Editor].

(9-24-02) Had this bike for two seasons now.. Rode from Wichita, KS to Sturgis, SD and back this year, 2002..... What A great ride !!!!!
The bike was purchased new in 1985 by a friend of mine. I always did like the looks of his bike. Wished I could have bought one. My freind decided he was going to buy a new Intruder two years ago. So I bought the Madura from him. A little wiring problem and a new fuel pump were needed, but have had no problems since.
Gas mileage to sturgis was not good. One stretch I went 98 miles. The last 15 were on reserve and when I filled up it took 2.7 gallons. So we would pit about every 80 miles or so.
Rode up Saturday and Sunday, went to Sturgis Monday. Hit the Full Throttle Salloon Monday Night, stayed too late. We got caught in the big thunderstorm on our way back to camp (54 miles). Riding in a thunderstorm, late at night, in the black hills. I was shaking. Jeez what a ride... Lots of people stopped at different places, trying to wait it out.. But it rained for almost five solid hours... What a storm. Got rained on one other time but for the most part good weather.

(1-4-03) Here is a photo of the 1985 Madura I bought in december 2002. I gave $700 for it. It was not started in almost 2 years. After a new battery and draining the tank i got it started. Changed the oil and filter and a fresh set of plugs. It runs like a new bike. Need to work on them spokes. (7/21/03) After many hours of loving care it cleaned up very well. I have since installed two new tires, front and rear brakes pads, and two small saddle bags. I have rode it about 2500 miles so far with no problems. Everyone cannot believe how well it cleaned up after sitting over two years. This bike has only 11,000 miles on it I did not know it was a rare bike.
Update
05/27/2007 have added a windshield. Now have 20,000 miles on bike and it runs stronger then ever.

(2-4-03) This is my first bike, purchased from a friend for $1000. I added the windshield and am hoping to repaint this Spring. I absolutely love it! Here's a new, and better, pic of my bic with me and my son, Alex, on it. I thought it would look better than my messy garage pic :-)

Erik te Lintelo
(4-3-03) Hello My name is Erik te Lintelo and this is my bike. It was built in 1986, and I have ridden it for over 10 years now and it still rides perfect. I´m from Holland and he drove me all over Europe. The only problem is that he uses a lot of petrol and the tank is 12 liters, so I can drive for about 120 km before refeuling. I heard that this bike was importet from Canada. There are not a lot of Maduras in Europe; In my time that I drive this bike I saw only two or three.

(5-2-03) I bought this [Madura V1200] in 1985 from the original owner when it had 933 miles on it. I have ridden it ever since and it has never needed any repairs other than normal maintenance, oil changes, tires, batteries, etc. It is one great bike to ride.

Ben Shipman "Wolfgang 700"
(5-6-03) Hello everybody nice to meet you all! I am the proud and recent owner of a '85 Suzuki Madura GV700. I wish I could say that I have a long history with the bike or an
interesting tale of a "barn stored" classic, but alas it is not so. I bought the bike a week ago from a used motorcycle dealership in Ajax Ontario, Canada... eh... felt like I should throw that in.
It's a one owner bike, a gentlemen in his late 40's apprently looking to move on, his loss. It's in really good original condition, and needed not but a tire for certification. The mileage is a bit higher than I had originally hoped at 65,000 Km...or about 44,000 miles, yet it runs like clock work! Not a spec of rust or any pitted chrome. Surfice to say I'm very happy with my new baby, and I hope to see the lot of you sometime down the road!
