Membership in NIBA will automatically entitle you to the following three surveys, a value of $1500. These surveys are unique; they cover only the Northern Illinois area and include responses from over 200 companies.

Wage & Salary Survey
NIBA has published this survey for the past 40 years and each year Crain's Business publishes a portion of this survey.
The survey covers almost 200 positions ranging from production and distribution to executive positions. We also cover clerical, supervisor and management positions. The top sales and executive positions are reported by both base and total compensation.
Each job contains a job description listing job duties, education and service requirements. All jobs are graded using the National Position Evaluation Plan. Each job is broken down by size and industry and the results are shown by minimum, maximum, mean and 25th and 75th percentiles.

Human Resource Policy & Practices Survey
This comprehensive survey provides information on over 300 questions with topics such as health care, vacation, tuition practices, retirement, flexible benefits, turnover and absenteeism, safety practices and many more. The survey allows companies to compare their practices to others in our membership.

Compensation Update & Projections Survey
This survey identifies overall adjustments to employees in the past year and projections for the following year. This survey also provides information on job evaluations, salary structure and how employee increases are administered.

|
National Sales Compensation Survey
Although this survey is not included with membership, we do provide this as an additional service to our members. This survey covers over 15 sales positions and provides detailed information on salary structure, base compensation, commissions and bonuses. The survey also covers questions related to expenses incurred by sales people, such as car, telephone, travel, hotel and meal. We are working in conjunction with approximately 20 other associations of our type to give you information on a national basis.

EXECUTIVE ROUNDTABLES & NETWORKING
|
|
NIBA member companies continue to use the association as a valuable source of networking opportunities. The 1996 Roundtable Network Forums enrolled over 50 members in a monthly dialogue of CEOs, Human Resource professionals and Marketing professionals. The groups, joined by another 60 plus representatives from member companies, came together for a series of three executive briefings to hear speakers on the year's theme of Management Leadership.
The annual golf outing continued it's history of business networking in a slightly non-business setting, with over 100 members joining together for a day in the sun and evening in the dining room.
Our new Learning Center in Palatine enables us to offer more services and access to significantly more training space, including break-out rooms for large numbers. The new site is accessible to members, located just north of the Northwest Highway (Rt 14) on North Court: CLICK HERE for a MAP!
In addition to the location, the association replaced outmoded computer equipment and installed a new voice-mail system, along with adding e-mail capabilities.
